The extraordinary story of Amy Winehouse’s early rise to fame and the making of her groundbreaking album, Back to Black. Told from Amy’s perspective and inspired by her deeply personal lyrics, the film follows the remarkable woman behind the phenomenon and the tumultuous relationship at the center of one of the most legendary albums of all time.
Film night is free for members and £2 for guests. Ice creams are available for £1 during the interval. This film is suitable for members of 18 years and older.
Sat 3rd August – Bubounce 🎷
Renowned local band and Biggleswade favourites, Bubounce are returning to the Con Club in August. The last time they played here it was a sellout show, and they put on a fantastic performance. Tickets are great value at only £5 for members, and £7 for non-members, and are on sale at the bar now. Demand is likely to be high to please buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
Sun 4th August – Kara’s Kara-oke 🎤
Kara will be running Family Karaoke on Sunday the 4th of August, starting at 6pm. These events are always good fun and aspiring singers of all levels are welcome to participate. Crossing our fingers that George will be around to sing one or two of his renowned favourites. Kara-oke is free for members and £2 for guests.
